Low Voltage Technology Systems Designer
Location: Roseville, CA
Salary: $100,000 to $150,000, based on education and experience
An established mid-sized engineering firm in Roseville, CA, is seeking a Low Voltage Technology Systems Designer. This role focuses on producing high-quality construction documents for various projects, including K-12 schools, public utilities, commercial buildings, and state facilities. The Designer will be responsible for designing assigned projects and collaborating with construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document low voltage technology systems such as data, voice, security, and fire alarms.
- Conduct field surveys and site studies.
- Ensure all designs meet Division 27 and 28 standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and internal teams on RFIs, ASIs, addendums, and project closeouts.
- Create BIM models and AutoCAD drawings, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and uphold industry standards.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit (2019-2024), AutoCAD (2020-2024), Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam PDF software.
- Architecture or Engineering degree, or 5+ years of related experience.
- Strong communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- BICSI RCDD, NICET, or CTS certification.
- Knowledge of Construction Management, Construction Administration, and DSA processes.
- Manufacturer-specific training and certifications.
